On my off time I like to get away from it all with my Dak, Fishing, Hunting, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Basiclly anything out doors that gets me out of the rat race. Luckily I have a wife that is in to all the same things as me, and she is also a 4x4 Dak owner.

Message: Ive had a few different jobs. Right now I am just an office worker. I love being outdoors. Fishing, boating, riding through the woods, going to the beach, swimming, target shooting, etc. Used to do a lot of hunting but have really slowed down now. Got really expensive here and with a wife and 2 kids they tend to take up a bit of free time.
Thats my biggest love though is spending time with my 2 boys. Cant wait until they are old enough to help me work on the truck. Wife likes to go shooting and boating and the beach as well. She has a 4x4 Durango so its a Dak with a built in topper.
You didnt give your story Corey.

Message: 3rd year college student and for the most part I'm a full time waiter. I have to pay for school somehow. In my free time... oh wait, I don't have any free time. I play soldier on the weekend once a month which is when I come see my parents which is also when my dad and I work on my truck (if I mess something up he usually knows how to fix it). When I'm not at school or at work I like to go water skiing.

Message: Im 24, I own a business with my father. We import Power Transmission products from China(agricultural). We are a young company, so I dont quite have the money yet to splurge on my Dakota(cross your fingers). In college I played baseball for Western Oregon University. I love baseball and football. Spend a lot of time watching and playing still. My father was once a truck puller, so I get my love for HorsePower and 4Wheeldrives from him. I just got married in July to my highschool sweetheart, who is a 4th grade teacher. No children, yet....
That is about it.
Thanks to those who answered my post. Anyone from the Pacific Northwest. Im in Salem, Oregon area.

Message: Worked 7 1/2 years, in the Navy, on 2 Nuclear Subs during the Gulf War. I'm currently a Nuclear Plant Operator for a great utility. I currently work 12 hour rotating shiftwork. Works out good because in every 5 week cycle I only work 19 days, with two off periods of 4 and 7 days each. But, I still have a lot of scheduled in OT. This gives me a lot of time off to keep the truck sparkling, go fishing or to go hunting. I try to spend a lot of time at the range when I can. Also have a big "honey do" list which never seems to get any smaller, no matter how much of it I complete. I've owned mostly 4x4s and after the last 2 Daks I won't buy anything else. Just praying that they don't make the new Dak body style too ugly. Jim.

Message: Alright before any of you dog me for this I have to say I am a Dakota owner first and foremost. I and a second year Univ. student who was introduced to my dakota my junior year of high school, right after I got my liscense. I must say my parents did buy the truck for me, and yes I can see to a certain degree that i am spoiled (cause i don't really need to work), but i worked at a exotic car/boat/plane dealership during every other weekend and summer. But remember that out of the many other sport cars that i could have gotten like my siblings, I chose to get a Dakota, which i have loved since the first time I saw one back in 1990. I really like the style of the daks. now and hope it doesn't change too much

Message: I work in the grocery industry. Kind of do everything around the store...computers, receiving, bookkeeping, some checking. It was thru someone at work that I found my reason to live: A Dodge Dakota. I am a 'late in life' new vehicle owner. I've always chosen to buy used to stay away from DEQ, and car payments in general. I rode in my friend's '97 Dak. Liked the looks, liked the ride, but wasn't convinced to buy one. Until I happened upon the chance to drive it. All bets were off. I HAD to have one! Well, I got one and after 16 months still can't wipe the grin off my face every time I look at it. When I'm not wishing for stuff for my truck? Hmmm. I play with the computer, play with the dogs (6), collect an array of things. Books, history stuff, other stuff no one else is interested in! Avid Green Bay Packer Fan. Like to camp, swim, play horseshoes, other sports, dabble in do-it-yourself house projects, yardwork. At the present time I am a rabid Dak Fan, so I spend a lot of time HERE. LOL.

I don't own my own dak yet but I am getting a 92 in one month. I have saved enough to pay cash for it! I was formally a chevy fan, but reading what Hawk and everyone has to say about their truck is begining to convert me,lol. Hobbies are paintball, mountain biking, camping, guns(don't worry I'm not going to shoot up any schools), and I like tinkering with things. Oh yeah, I am homeschooled, so I can spend alot of time tinkering and reseaching on my dak and still be in class(gotta love it:).

Message: I'm 24 and live in, you guessed it, Redmond, WA. Ok, maybe you didn't :-). I'm a software developer for AT&T Wireless. No, I don't make the snake game on your nokia phones but I do develop financial databases in-house. Mainly use SQL Server, Holos, Business Objects, etc...
Anyway, of all of the vehicles I test drove I fell in love with my 2K QC 4x4 dakota. Although the love meter fades from time to time when something goes wrong:-). Every few weekends, I enjoy taking my big ol' YJ up into the Cascades. Or my truck to the golf course. I love, too much, toys for my vehicles. I recently bought the Kenwood KVT910 DVD system for my truck. Some people say cool, some people say why? :-). I spend the rest of my time with my girlfriend, my folks up in Bothell (usually free manual labor for them), and drinkin' with my friends. Although at 24, I'm startin' to feel drinking to be a bit less desirable. Just trying to focus on the career.
All in all, life could be better, could be worse...
I hope none of us get hit too hard by the economic slump.
Take care, all!

Own a 95 year old house in a perpetual state of renovation. No kids (single now). Love to spend at least one Sunday a month leisurely detailing my beloved Dak. Message: Hey all,
I am in the U.S Army. Have been for the last 17 years. I am an instructor of UAV's (unmanned aeriel vehicles) here in Ft. Huachuca AZ. I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and love the Green Bay Packers. I have 3 boys, 10,6 and 2 and I have been divorced for 2 years, so as it stands I am raising them all on my own. I love them more than life itself.
I have a 98' dak that I bought for myself when I got back from Korea in February. Its a 4 x 4, 3.9 x-cab. I love it. I have owned 2 Ford Rangers and a Bronco II before my dak.
In my free time (when there is such thing) I work out 5-6 nights a week, play racquetball 4 nights a week and ride my 98' Kawasaki ZX-9R up into the mountains of Tucson.
Like I said, I am single, no women (no time anyway). Just enjoying ALL the time I can with my boys so they too, can go out and buy themselves a Dakota when they learn to drive.
I love this web site. It has helped out emmensley and starting to cost me money now. Putting the 3" body lift on tomorrow.
Thanks for all the advice and tips.
