Message: I'm running 31/10.5R15 MT/R, they work great in sand, mud and snow but are a bit noisy on the road..
So far i did 40K km (25K miles) with them, mostly on gravel roads. They are really good tires, I never had a flat, and they dont get "chewed" by all those miles of dirt roads like most All Terrain tires usually do.
I'm pretty sure they wont last another 25K though, 10K to 15K maybe, they seem to wear pretty fast for my taste, but they wear evenly(sp?)so you dont have to panic if you're a little late to rotate them like some other off-road tires.
Personnaly I'm changing for 33/10.5R15 BFG MT this summer, they are a lot cheaper and, from what I saw, does the same job and last a little longer..

Message: I have a set of MT/R's for 3 years now, about 85000 km,
and they still have about 1/3 thread left. They are
32X11.5X15. Get noiser as they wear down. Good
tires, but you can probably find something just as good
for less $$. Next set will either be Toyo Open Country
Mud Terrains, or Hankook RT03's.

Message: I've got 305/70R16 (33x12.5) MT/R's. I absolutely love them. They look great, grab the road great. Snow, rain, sand...whatever. Haven't gone off roading yet, but they get rave reviews off road. Not sure about the wear yet, only have about 3500 miles so far.
The noise may be a factor if you drive with the windows down and the radio off. If your normal, you'll have the radio on and you won't hear much of a difference. Doesn't bother me at all.
