Does anybody know were to find some blueprints for some skid plates on a 99',4x4,slt,5.2.
I thought I saw some on a thread last year for the front diff, transfer case and the gas tank.
Also how thick should the plates be.
I have the steel but it's not stainless.

also looking for these for the 3.9 v6 with a 3" BL...
Chucky use 1/4" plates. I know a guy who used the standard 1/8" plates and it did nothing but tear into pieces when he bottomed out.

1/4 inch is going to ad a lot of weight or at least way to much for me. The idea is not to build a tank but rather something to obsorb the initial shock there by protecting your undercarrage. 3/16 is about as thick as you want to go.

1/8" is a little thin for "medium" or harder off road trips and will damage easily. Little to no rocks? no problem 1/8" is good enough.
If you are going to be doing more than a beginner trail go with something thicker.

I made the ones for the front differential and tranfer case out of 1/4 inch. I really didn't notice any difference in weight?? They have really protected my trucks under-carriage.
If anyone has the plans for the gas tank plate I would appriciate the drawings for it.

I have a set of factory skid plates (transfer case and front suspension). I got hosed on shipping so will not see them until beginning next week.
Anyone have the blueprint for the fuel tank skid plate for an 02 quad cab?
I didn't get one yet because it was too expensive.

Here is a link to the plans that were made up. They will work for 2000 - 2004 Dakota's, Check Transfer case plate hole line up before drilling. The rear holes may need to be back a couple inches. all the rest will match up good.

Any chance you still have a copy of those blue prints?? The link no longer works but I am looking for skid plates for 2000 dakota. I've been to several junk yards and what I have found was either plastic, busted/rusted up, etc.
If I don't find prints soon though I'll just have to design myself.
