Ok everyone...heres the deal.
I just talked with Chris at Road Armor in Washington, and there ARE plans for a Dakota winch bumper. One of the design guys has a Durango and is working on it as I type this!!
The style will be a cross between the Full Size and the Jeeps, with a dropped center and contouring to the Dodge lines. Standard will be Shackle D Tabs. Recessed lights, Bull Bar and Winch carrier are optional.
Price: $699.00 or so.

Date: Mid Novemeber, of this year!! WOW!

Add Light mounts and somewhere to put a Hijack and it would be AWSOME if they noted that that bumper works with 33" tires b/c Hawkeye is having rubbing issues with his bumper and i think they have a great plan.

They have the light mounts recessed in, but sure some extra tabs could be added on if we asked for them. Chris was very willing to help us out.
Never thought about a HiJack mounting point. Hmm.. might have to call him back on that.

Yea from what I've seen on this forum .. the only problems w/ the bumper on stock .. is
1. Winch mounts
2. Fitting over sized tires
3. Somewhere to put a HiJack on it
4. Shackles
5. Nice big light mounts.
*I think that the fog light holes are already on that bumper if you call him want to ask him if the factory fog lights will work in those holes?*

The Bull Bar (Grill Guard) is an option you can choose. So its up to you. From what Ive learned, you can use the factory fog lights, or get bigger ones to fill the space (as in like 5" kc lights), and wire them to your fog lights switch.
As far as the bigger tires..i dunno. Ill be in teh same boat cuz I have a set of 33 Thornbirds waiting to get put on, so ill be making sure to ask.

Something to think about... the front-mount Draw-tite trailer hitch that was talked about in another thread solves many problems. Something you get with a receiver hitch is a universal receiver that you can plug anthing into. One of many accessories you can insert is a winch mount.

Yes, Very true.
However, the height at which the reciever hangs is waaay to low for wheeling. It would get hung up over many objects. Plus it cuts down on the departure angles because it hangs out farther than the bumper.
When the winch is hidden behind the bumper, no angle is sacrificed.

'cept I would prefer a prerunner style light bar as opposed to the beefy wraparound style shown on their website. If they could clone a Fabtech light bar on top of that winch bumper I would be realllllllllllly inclined to buy one!!

Is there going to be a rear bumper to match? Shackles on a rear bumper would rock Built in lights for reverse .. not those makebelieve reverse lights that don't light up anything.

my question is will it be the same bull bar as the ram and if so cool
and the matching rear bumper and what about nerf bars to match as well
ive been looking at roadarmor before i knew this site existed lol but am very very interested in it for my truck
another question is when you put on the 3in body lift is there a way to remount the tow hitch on the upper part of the frame so i can regain my departure angle cuz like you said i hang everything on that tow hitch and it pisses me off sometimes and curious on how the roadarmor bumper will be mounted with the lift

I just got off the phone with Road Armor. This bumper is going to be SWEET. I posted earlier asking about..
1. Winch mounts

The Winch mount will be for a 9,000 lb. winch.
The only thing They don't have standard are the resesed lights wich are $90 for the pair. The HiJack we can use on the Shackles and I just plane forgot about the tires.
He said it should be ready some time in mid November.

GAH I forgot to add.. I asked about a matching rear bumper and they said they will be working on one but it won't be available until some time next year. So I'm going to be investing in a rear reciever hitch while I wait.. Unless someone knows how to get rear tow hooks...

I was looking at the bumpers as I have always liked theirs, and I have an idea. If they make a plain one like the blue one on the ram, then you could put on a Universal Prerunner bar yourself like the one I already have from Fabtech, I think it would look very good. I dont need the one wit te winch cause I dont plan on a winch. I also hope that they make it so that it will be compatable with those of us that have body lifts and still be functional for say using a highlift jack on. Will be waiting anxiously.
