i want to change the 2wd front springs to the 4wd front springs,is that possible. that should lift the truck 2in and give me a good ride off-road.

What year is your Dakota?
Before 2005, 4x4 Dakotas used torsion bars in the front, not coils. Only 2wd trucks had coils.
The 2005+ 4x4 uses a coilover shock but I don't know what the 2wd version uses now for the front suspension.
