I have searched for many hours for extended fender flares for a 2005 dakota slt 4x4 extended cab(bridgestone dueler a\t revo tires). So far everything I have found is only made for 2004 and earlier. Bushwhacker rep said they would not have a solution for several months.
Are there any other suggestions?

Plastic garden edge trim. :)
Really, getting parts like that for a brand new vehicle just isn't going to happen. Companies like Bushwhacker make parts when the market is ready. It takes a big effort to R&D these sorts of things, so you just have to be patient.
There are a few "one size fits all" parts available that can be made to work. Unfortunatly, they often look like edge trim.
