Subject: soild axle swaps IP: Logged
Message: im always looking at things to do to my truck and have been looking into swapping a solid axle under the front of my 2001 QC. I have a dana 44 front axle out of a early ford bronco. I was wondering if there was any websites that covered this swap out there. Thanks for your help and info. I would love pictures of bracets for coilovers and coils. i know that some ppl use leafs but i think i would like to stay away from those. But still will check them out if you got pics links or info

Message: I did this swap on my '88. Its not as cool as alot of peoples swaps. But I done mine myself on a major budget. Used axles and front susp. from a mid 80's K5 Blazer. Theres a fiew problems that had to be sorted out w/the way I did mine == especially since the front pumpkins on the right side and the Dakotas Np207 was a LH drop. Long story behind my morphadyte truck but point being is that it can be done w/some metal fab and welding skills. ... BTW .. I got less than $400 in my truck including initial purchase.
