i just got my safari bar. i was thinking about getting some diamond plate and welding it underneathe the middle bar of the saf. bar. Sort of like a skid plate on a bull bar. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas. anything would help..

I would probably add more mental protection than actual physical protection. Not that that's a bad thing...
But it would look good with some polished diamond plate. But to protect the finish, you'll probably want to bolt it on with some 5/16" or 3/8" SS button head screws.

It would probably not add enough extra physical protection to make a differance. But you would feel better about it.
