Subject: Suspension(01) 4wd Quad cab? IP: Logged
Message: I recently got my 01 quad cab 4wd back from the body shop, after a front left collision. The shop replaced some of the suspension components on the front left side. Now it seems like the front of my Dak sits about 2-3 inches lower. Any ideas what could have caused this, or am I high from the paint fumes? Any ideas ?

Message: toby's right, your shop probably put zero torsion on the torsion bar, which is the only suspension part that maintains height. shocks do nothing except dampen the loads/impacts on the torsion bar. your body shop aint rocket scientists if they dont know how to crank the torsion bar back to factory specs. if you want to add an inch or two of height, you can crank it up higher, but that stresses all the other suspension components and makes them wear faster,
