Message: Yes I know some of you are going to laugh...Rear shocks on a truck are easy as heck to replace
I bought some ProComp ES9000 for my truck. I installed the fronts with out a problem. Got to the rear of my 99 club cab 2wd. the passenger side has the heat shield for the exhaust system in the way of the top bolt for the shock. I can't get a socket in there due to the lack of space. I can put on a 9" or so extension on it to go past the heat shield but then I don't have the proper balance with extension / breaker bar. I can fit an open end wrench just barely in there but then I don't have any leverage.
Anyone else run into a similar problem when installing the right rear shock? Any tips?

Message: Take loose the rubber hangers to get the exhaust pppe out of the way. If that doesn't work, you're gonna have to unbolt that small section of tailpipe to give you the clearance you need.
