does the carrier under the bed serve anypurpose other than to carry the spare?? I mean as a support to the bed rails underneath or somethin?? cause I run 35's and have no use for it, it is just wasted pounds on my truck. if it serves no purpose it's gettin trashed!!!

what part are you talking about just the little bell looking thing? if your talking about the whole crossmember yeah it has a purpose. your shocks mount to it and it keeps your frame from tweeking
