Subject: 4.11?? gears for a 99 IP: Logged
Message: i got a set of gears for a 99 dakota the ring has 37 teeth and pinion has 9 so makes them 4.11 anyway they are made by spicer. i was wondering if there is any changes from a 99 to a 01. also is would a 3.92 be that much different than a 4.10 or 4.11? (i wondered from a seat of the pants opinion i know what the numbers say) thanks

Message: Its more important to have gears for the right rear, than the right year. There are basically 2 different rears regardlees of year - 8.25, or the heavier duty 9.25 which can be identified by its 12 bolt rectangular cover.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way
