Message: Better stay away from something you know nothing about.
First, get a manual for your vehicle and read it.
Torsion bars will be in the suspension section.

Message: Torsion bars are primarily on the 4X4 trucks.
They are under the cab and connect on the lower control arms and extend to a frame cross member about half way back.
Be conservative on cranking them.
Go to Walt's page (link below) about half way down the page. He has an excellent description of how to do this.

Message: Just keep this in mind, that when u crank those bars, you are adding stress to the front components so do only if needed. It's a cheap way to get a lift out of the front but has it's drawbacks.

Message: Raised mine a couple inches several years ago - hasn't caused any problems, you'll likely be fine.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way
