i put 31X10.5X15 in BFG All Terrain T/A tires on my 97 dakota, it's suspension is still stock for now but the tires work great both on and off road with just a little noise, and no trimming is necessary

I used BFGoodrich Land Terrain from Wal-mart.
LT265-75R16 which equate to 32X10.43X16 good on and offroad.
Plus Wally-world is everywhare if you have a tire problem.
