Subject: Will these tires fit? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2001 Dakota Regular Cab. Currently I still have what i believe to be the stock tires which are 265/70/16 goodyears. I was wondering if I could fit a 285/75/16 tire without rubbing. And if they will rub will a 3" body lift make it so they will clear. And one last question, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the Kumho Venture M/T tires or the Firestone Destination M/T. Right now im leaning towards the Kumho from the reviews ive read at tirerack.com and they only cost 116 a tire. Thank you

Message: The tires will slightly rub on the front fender if my calculations were right, but only when you turn the front tires to the max. If lifted they will not rub at all. However if lifted you might want to use a 32 or even a 33 tire on those 16's.
Not sure about your tires selection, i use the toyo's couldnt beat the price, and they are wearing excellent.

Message: cb, if you're talking about toyo open country a/t's, then youre smoking crack. Granted, they do wear well and ride well, but they absolutely suck offroad and they're worse than my baja claws in the snow. Thank God I have 4wd! I have heard good things about the kumhos and I have heard the firestones are basically overpriced bfg's. I'm looking into a set of either buckshots (heard good things) or wildcat ext's. Wildcats are a Cooper tire, so I know they'll last. Plus, they're pretty cheap.
How deep can that pond possibly be?

Message: hey chad, i have the same set up as you except w/ a 3.9 and 4wd. those tires will fit stock only if you have 4wd. i have 32x11.5x15 and they dont rub at all. if you dont have 4wd i wouldnt recommend it cuz the 4wd tend to be higher than the 2wd's.

Message: Anyone know about the '00 CC Sport 4x4. I got 31x10.5x15 and I want to go 32" cuz the 31's just look wimpy on my truck. The front sits about 2" lower than the back and I'm about 99% sure 32's will fit in the back but I dunno about the front and I kinda dont want to do the torsion bars my self cuz i don't really know much about that. How difficult would it be? Can anyone help me out about what I should do? I'm looking for the cheapest way to fit the 32's...I know a lift would work but I'm tight on cash and so far no one's told me about how much it would be to have someone install it(Body lift). Thanks
