Subject: Gear Ratios- Where? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 4x4 Dak with the 4.7L. It has a 3in. body lift, 33x12.50 Tires and 15x10 Eagle 589's. I am wanting to switch from my 3.55 gears to the 4.10 gears so my truck will think the tires are still stock and wanted to know the cheapest place to get them. I live in Tallahasse, FL but that probablly wont matter because the internet is usually cheaper. Thanks for any input

Message: I think the lowest price I found was something like accuautoparts, see if something like that pops up when you do a search. I ended up buying from a member here who decided to sell his instead. While this will help you get back the performance you lost switching to bigger tires, it won't think the tires are stock (there is a tone ring in the rear that signals each axle revolution to send signal to speedometer, your miles will still be off).

Message: That was for Yukon gears BTW. Probably best to get quality gears, rather than just the cheapest you can find. Richmond precision seems to be another quality manufacturer.
