Message: I just installed mine using those plans. They look sweet. However, before you drill the bottom two holes check to make sure they are not too low. Mine are a little low and tweek my skirt a little where the cut outs are. Might make another set so they are right in the middle of the cut outs. And when you get the plans multiply everything by 25.4 and do it in millimeters.

Message: I'm not sure. I don't think your truck has the cut outs in the skirt. Take a measurement from where the holes on your frame are to the bottom of your skirt and I'll let you know how low the hooks will be.

Message: i have an 02. if you have the cutouts just above the fog lights, or if you have cutouts even without fog lights, you mount the tow hooks on the bottom of the frame member you can see when you look thru the cutout. you have to drill two holes is all, no bracket is needed. just put the tow hook in the spot which allows the strap to come strait out. it works great, put one one ach side.

Message: When I look through my stock cut outs I see nothing but air. The stock cut outs that I am talking about are below the fog lights not above them.
David: Are you talking about cut outs that are stock or ones that you actuallt cut out yourself??

Message: hello from Guam. i did mean to say the cutouts are BELOW not above the fog lights, sorry about that. but if you reach back several inches thru the cutout, or lay under the truck and look up, you should see the main horizontal box frame member of the truck. there is a flat spot on the the bottom of that box frame just large enough to drill two holes and bolt on a tow hook. once the tow hook is on, the tow strap will come out thru the the cutout. let me know if you can find the spot, if not i will try to take a digital pic and email it to you. it is a strong spot to bolt a tow hook, it has saved my butt more than once when stuck.

Message: That does seem like a very good spot to mount a tow hook. Is it close enough to the skirt that allows movement for the tow strap in case you have to pull from an odd angle? I'd hate to mess up the bumper since its just plastic.
