04 there is a lift but it is a AIM lift. www.truckn-store.com. Which has a bite of a bad rep on this site.

How different is the '00 to '02 lift? Could it be adapted?

The suspension lift for the 00 and 02 should be the same. The only difference might be rack and pinion steering, but I think that came out in 03.

Rack and pinion came out in '00. I'm curious what differences there are between '00 to '02 and '03 to '04 that the same lift won't work.

The big difference is that in 03 the dakotas came out with larger front rotors and when dodge did that they changed the spindles. The lift will not work with the different spindles. Because dodge only kept that design for 2 yrs, nobody wants to make a lift for it. They do not see the profit for making a lift for a truck model that will only work for 2 yrs. You can convert back to an older design but that will hurt your braking and maybe put you back into the same problem the older gen III daks had with their rotors and pads.
