Subject: RIMS FOR 96 Dak IP: Logged
Message: First off this site is GREAT!
I just read on one of the thousands of postings that the bolt pattern of Dakota rims is the same from 1995 to 2005, is this accurate or not?
If it is then, obviously, rims from any new generation Dak will fit on my 96, right?
If any one knows for sure please let me know, thanks.

Message: 91-2004 are 6 on 4 ½”. I heard the 2005 are back to a 5 on 4 ½” but I have not been able to confirm it.

Note: I very frequently get email from people asking about the lift kit in my ’88. Typically, I will NOT respond to the emails (about 95%) that ask questions I’ve already covered on my web pages (ie. Where did you get the kit?, Who makes it?, How much did it cost?, What modifications did you have to make to get it to fit your truck?. How hard was it to install? What problems did you encounter? etc, etc...)

Message: I have a 96 4x4 also. Make sure you swap to 16" rims if you go to a newer model due to the change in offset/material. Believe me you will be thankfull. I upgraded to 99 dakota 15" aluminum wheels and they rubbed on my calipers. I now have 16"x7" 6 star wheels from a 2003 durango/dakota on 32" all terrains. 2" body lift, and no rub.

Message: Thanks guys I've been eyeing a set of rims off of a '93 Durango that would look good on my baby. Good to know that they might fit.
