Could an 88 dakota reg cab 4x4 fit 31 inch tires with a two inch body lift?, there is one in the paper with a good body, that needs a motor for 700 bucks im thinkin of pickin it up

An 88 4x4 Dakota will fit 31s with NO lift, provided you put them on the stock wheels.

ya. easy...
im runnin 31x10.50s on my 87 with just the torsion bars cranked. the rims are 15x8s with a 5" backspace.
