Just as noted, how good is the Trail Master lift for the gen 2s?

I get very twisted up in the places I go to, and I want something that will hold up...

If you’re getting “twisted up” like you say and looking for something that will hold up while wheeling in anything more than sand or mud, it’s not for you. Unfortunately, it’s the only suspension kit available for the Gen II trucks.

Click my banner below, and on the target page, scroll down and you’ll find a link to my Dakota Pages. There you’ll find a link “Dakota Tips & Modifications” There are some pages off of there that will detail the installation on the TrailMaster kit on my ’88, plus a copy of the installation instructions, what problems I ran into while installing the kit and what problems I had with it since installing it.
