Subject: help guys..nitto or toyo? IP: Logged
Message: 2 questions??? I have a 2000QC4x4,4.7 w/lots of mods, just got a PA3"bodylift. Does anyone know if I can fit nitto 325/60/18's or toyo open country AT's 325/60/18?
And second I would like to get Enkei RT6's 18x8.5, can these rims hold either tire? the actual specs on these tires are nitto=32.99x12.86x18, and toyo=33.4x14.86x18. they both call for a rim that is 9 inches or wider. Is a half inch really that critical? will they work? thanks for any help?

Message: I would think the Toyo's would be too wide with just a bodylift. I have 12.5's and they rub.
Do they make 18" rims for the Dak lug pattern?

Message: Ive seen the Enkei RT6 on a Dakota before..looked very sharp. Id get them if they werent so much..and tires are cheaper for my 15" wheels too!
Ive heard of many people running 12.50 wide tires on 8in rims..so 8.5 should be fine even though most manufacturers recommend 10" wheels.
Ive been looking at both the Nitto and Toyo tires..so let me know how you like them whichever you decide on.

Message: I have a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers on my Dakota right now and that work great. I have ran both set a toyo and nitto and the toyo's don't last worth crap.

Message: Hey Dacoada,
there are several brands that will fit with 18's, as you shop ,the pattern -if you dont already know, -is 6x114 with anything from a 5.5 to a 0 for backspacing. Enkei makes two, mb motoring makes a few, A great website is rimstop.com. the rims that are checked green are a match for the dakota lug pattern. the site takes some work but once you get the download and the right vehicle, you can change your vehicle's color, height, rim size and tire series ...and watch the tires and rims spin like your truck was driving!! BUT ..i doesnt really appeal to my off road/raised disposition.

Message: Hey Lev.
like the name. It has taken me awhile to decide on the rims cuz it will be a constant "extra" expense every time I buy new tires cuz of the rim size but I think it would be worth it. The only thing about the RT6 is that it has 0" backspacing. what did the ones look like that you saw? did the tires stick out from the wheel wells at all? or did they seem tucked under the fenders? and what kinda tires did they have? I live in germany so my truck is usually the only one i see that is 4x4 with big tires. I really dont have any "examples" to choose from. ...if it aint broke, fix it til it is
