Subject: 04 suspension lift? IP: Logged
Message: I have an 04 Dakota SXT extended cab and live in San Diego...I'm not sure what it is that makes the 04 different but I know that I can't seem to find a kit that is compatible. Does anyone know what I can do to make it work or if a kit is available that I haven't seen yet? I'm looking for around 3" maybe. I don't want a huge truck, just an aggressive stance and clearance for some bigger tires. Also, any pics that may exist of what my truck will look like would be greatly appreciated.

Message: Guys, for 03 and 04 dakotas, they changed the front spindles to handle all of the older version's brake warping problems. That is the main reason nobody makes a lift for them. The rack and pinion also adds to it, but with a bracket would be an easy fit. The reason you will probably never find a lift for it is because for 05 they went to a completely new front suspension. Nobody wants to make a suspension lift for 2 model years.
