Message: I copied the following from www.fourwheeler.com.
What fits, What Hits.
Figuring out what tires fit under what vehicle is not an exact science, and anyone who tells you it is should have his psi checked. Truth is, there are so many factors that go into a tire's real-world height and clearance--air pressure, spring, shock and bushing condition, among them--that no one can tell you definitively if a big set of shoes will fit your four-wheeler's feet, unless you're performing the install yourself.

According to fourwheeler.com to fit a 33X12.5X15 on your 99 Dakota you would need to do the following:
A 3 inch body lift.
To fit 32X11.5X15 they recommend just some minor fender trimming.
Hope this helps.

Message: when i bought my tires and wheels, 32x11.5x15, and 15x8, i was always told that you want the differences between the widths to be around 3 inches or so because the sidewall concaves(?) inward toward the rim to a smaller width.so if your going w/ 33x12.5 i wouldnt go any smaller than a rim that is less then 10 inches wide.

Message: If your stock wheels have a the detachable center piece that hides the lug nuts, they are 15x7. The 15x8 are the twin spoke design. The 15x7 are too narrow, not sure about 15x8. I could definitely see 32x11.5 working with the 15x8s, if you have the clearance. That width came with 31x10.5 stock.

Message: u can a run 33x12.50x15 on the 15x8 rim. ive got pro comp MTs and the only rubbing is on the frame at full lock. i also used the PA 3 inch BL and and required no trimming of any kind for the tires. although a few years ago i cranked up the torsion bars to make it sit level. i wouldnt use a 15x10 rim because it will make the tires stick out way too far. unless youre going to add fender flares. the 33s on the factory rims stick out a little past the flares but its barely noticable.
