I'm dropping a 4L Isuzu diesel into my 99 4X4 Dakota and have oil pan / front diff clearance problems. I'm just going to go ahead and install the engine and worry about the front diff later. I'd like to know what options I have. I have seen some posts about swapping in a solid axle which would solve my problem but I'm concerned about ride quality as well.
Would a 3" lift on the existing suspension be a better bet, I dont do a lot of serious off roading with the truck, thats what my Diesel Jeep XJ is for .:)
