Does neone else have this problem? its annoy to have ur truck miss like crazy after it goes thru water and one time die. Is there some kind of cover u can buy or fabricate to keep it dry? I have a 99 5.2L auto. Thanks.
P.S. Sorry for all the posts but thats what this site is for isnt it?

Go to just about any boneyard, and get the distributor cover from a late model Ford. It will work on the Dodge, and is designed to keep most the water out. That should cost you less than $10.

Used to have this problems at times with VW buggies that we run in the mountains and forged a lot a creeks > At times the water was up to the air cleaner putting the cap totally under water > We solved it with a fine bead a marine silacon ( most likely spelled wrong) on the base a the cap carefully putting it on while the silacon was not cured > The vent into the cap wouldn't take in any water because the sealed cap prevented the needed vent that it has to have to allow the water to flow in > put a very light coat of grease on the rim of the distributer and the silacon will only stick to the cap > can be removed and replaced without danage to the seal >

Thanks for all the advice. Ill be getting a new borg warner distributor and prolly use the sillicone technique to keep it dry. thanks again
