Is your rancho skid plate solid black, or is it like the red(only one I have seen in person) black tubular steel surrounding chrome? Do you by any chance have the mounting instructions?

I have the black skid plate that covers the diff and came with standard Rancho kit, this is not the optional "front" skid that you describe. Sorry. Bob.

OK I see what you are talking about. I might be interested in your wheels, but not tires, I already have the rancho lift, have been debating the body lift, but I plan on not going with 35's, just sticking with 33's, and a little wider, would you sell the rims without tires? and what is the backspacing? thanks

If you saw a pic of my truck with these wheels/tires you might change your mind on running 35's unless you have the 3.9. I ran 35's in the summer and 34's in the winter with no rubbing. I would sell the wheels with center caps seperate for $650 shipped since I will have to pay $50 to have them broken down at a good place that won't scratch them doing it. The rims have a 4.5" BS and stick out just right with 12.50" wide tires. Send me an email on what you want to do and if you want a pic. Thx, Bob

Hey, I tried to send you a e-mail, but my account won't permitt it, I am lost with computer stuff. Talked to a local 4x4 shop that owns a 03 quad with both lifts running 35s (www.bucks4x4.com), and they said no way will a 17x10 rim work on my truck with both lifts, regardless of tire size. What did you do to make this work? BTW I have a 01 cc 4.7 5-speed with the rancho lift, body lift is next, just have figure out the wheels.

Tell Buck sorry, but that size rim WILL work as it was mounted on my truck and I drove it everywhere for 5 months with no problems. At first, I had some rubbing on front bumper when backing up and wheel was turned hard one way or the other. Some very mild trimming to bottom edge of bumper with dremel took care of it. If I had not did it myself, I wouldn't believe it either, but I coughed up the bucks to try it and made it work with little effort. The payoff in appearance was worth every penny IMO.

What was your expierence running 35s on a 4.7 auto? I see you are selling cams, my next upgrade would be cams or gears, need to decide between 4.10 or h.o. cams

35's with 4.7 proved to be a great combo, still plenty of power even with 3.55's. On inclines it would shift out of O.D. to downshift when using cruise. 4.10's would be optimum for city/highway driving, that was my next and last purchase needed for my truck before I had to sell it. I would go with gears before cams personally, I think most would agree.

2thextrm,
Got the tail light guards today from the mail box. I am very pleased with the condition they are in! One question, do you have any mounting instructions for them? I am not sure if they go between the bedside and the tail light, or between the bedside and the tail gate. Don't want to mess anything up. Also, does that little tab opposite the screw holes go over the tial light or is it a spacer to keep a common distance from the tail light.

Thanks again! Love em!

Sorry bout the late response, been outta town on biz. Glad your happy with them.

If you haven't figured them out yet, you need to remove the taillight and slide the guard over taillight from the top. Once you do that you will see how they mount, the bracket goes between screw and box side and it clears the tailgate easily.

Send me a pic of ur Dak with them mounted if you can! Bob
