Hey All,

My stock Goodyear RT/S(?) were bald at 21400 miles and got me stuck high centered on a sugar sand burm. Not happy with that!!

Last night I got BFG All-Terrain A/T's 31X10.5x15 and these things are really nice. Saw so many recommends for them I had to give them a try.

Thanks List!!!

You will not be dissappointed with them. Just remember, they will get a lot more traction than the RT/S ever did. As a result, too much throttle in the sugar sand and they may seem like they are digging more, which they are. Just have to watch the gas and air down a little.

Totally. I have AT's on my dak, and when you air them down to about 15 psi. you can go anywhere in the sand. They are awesome tires.

Hey Hawkeye,

Yea, I know what you mean about digging deeper with these AT treads. In reality I was likely better off with my bald goodyears(hey it was a good excuse to get the tires I really wanted).

Truth of the matter is that my line over the burm was completely wrong, as was my approach speed, didn't engage 4WD when I should have and didn't check to verify that it was sugar sand.

I really don't make those mistakes often but it was at the end of a long day and I was, uh, 'somewhat impaired'.

Love these BFG's and the guys at the tire place were impressed with the Dak and did a good job for me(torqued the lug nuts per my request).

Hey, if I get stuck again maybe you could drive to Miami and pull me out. It ain't far. Hehehe!!

HEHE! Dont sweat the stuck. Happens to everyone. Id be more than happy to come give you a hand next time. You might have to wait a few minutes for me to get there. Live and learn. I usually try things the wrong way first just to see if I can do it (as long as I know I am not going to really break anything). Get some pics next time you are out. I have some of mine at the beach just have to get them developed.

Kevin, true on the air down. I have found that 20 psi on my 32's works perfect for me so far. Used to take my 33's down to 12 to 15 psi on my Fords. I think 33's on a Dak would give such good flotation that you might not have to air down at all.
