I am about 90% sure I am gonna sell my truck and get into something a little more serious for Off Roading. I really hate to do it but I am ready to move up.

Here is KBB value on my truck but there is more add ons and I am wondering what a good price to ask would be.

Engine: V6 3.9 Liter
Trans: Automatic
Drive: 4 Wheel Drive
Mileage: 95,000

Equipment
SLT
Air Conditioning
Power Steering
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Tilt Wheel
Cruise Control
AM/FM Stereo
Cassette
Single Compact Disc
Premium Sound
Dual Front Air Bags
Sliding Rear Window
Stepside Bed
Bed Liner
Two-Tone Paint
Alloy Wheels
Ovrsize Off-Rd Tires

Retail Value Search Local Listings for This Car $15,670

The extra's not mentioned:
Rancho 3" suspension lift (cranked to 4" & add a leafs)
Dual exhaust flowmaster 50 series delta Hi flow
Hi Flow Cat
Chrome Turn down tips under the bed
Superchips programmer
Piaa 6" and 4" fog lights
V-8 torsion bars
2 sets of rims 15" and 16" 33x10.5 BFG MT's 255x85x16 AT street tires
Warn 9500 HSI winch ( I will prolly keep this )
Hanson Custom front bumper
Rancho RSX9000 shocks
All Maitenance manuals from Dodge.
Air Raid intake
Custom front and transfer case skid plate, rancho skid plate, 3 total
MOOG upper ball joints
Custom front drive shaft
Rebuilt the transfer case at 53K

I think that covers it. I have all maintenance records and it is always regularly serviced. No leaks. Extremely clean and well taken care of.

So what do you think is a good price to list it for and ask? I am in San Jose CA not that I expect anyone here to be interested. Just looking for fellow Dakota opinions.

Chris

Thats a tough one to answer. My best suggestion is to look in the local paper and see what others are asking for similair years and mileage, also check on www.autotrader.com or other web sites.

With all the mods you may find to different thoughts. One someone may say "hey, its all set up to wheel, GREAT!" another may say "THis thing has been off road a lot which may spell trouble".

Its all goign to be in the eye of the beholder....

Hey buddy, i wish the best for ya on selling it. As stated above i love your site also and got alot of good help from it and all your posts. I hope you still come around on the board, with all the mods and everything, I'd say around 21,000+ but it's really hard to say. because i know those mods are costly. My stock 2000 when i bought it was $14,000 with 62,000m on it

well i bought my 98 with 68,000 miles from a dealer for $10,500 and it was in perfect condition other than where the clear coat was pealing from where the fiberglass topper was (wish it came with it) and a few small scuffs that could be buffed out. But that is all i have to say, other than good luck and hope this gives you an idea.

Hopefully you can get a decent price for it. But I know alot of times you dont get near your money back on aftermarket mods like that, unless you happen to find someone that loves the way its setup.

My advice is if your not in a big hurry to sell it just advertise the hell outta it everywhere, all 4x4 boards, truck boards (even other brands), and anywhere you can think. Then if it comes down to it you can lower the price eventually. Hopefully you can get $18,000 - 20,000, but ive noticed unless its a 4door crew cab the trucks have lost some value in the past few years. Blue book on my 98 Durango has dropped from $16,500 to only $9400 in the past 3yrs! Ouch.

Thats the problem with our vehicles..mods are limited and very costly if available. And when you can go buy a decent built jeep for $10k-$15K..thats alot more capable. But damn i love the dodges ya know.
