Message: Just finished Performance Accessories 3" body lift w/ 33x12.50x16 Super Swamper TRXUS STS's on my 2004 Quad Cab. I also installed Manik's nerf bars (black) moving them up to the lifted body. Entire process was fairly easy including moving the nerfs up.
Tires don't rub atleast on the street. (No torsion crank either.) Which is most of my driving. I'd like to post pics but I don't know how. I don't have my own web site.
Thanks for all the info you guys post here. I'm a transplant from Toyota world and I love the new 4.7 V8.
It's a 4x4 of course (Black w/ silver) w/ All Wheel drive/4 wheel drive. Fully loaded. Came w/ 265/75R16's (Which I'm going to sell)
I've added a trailer hitch w/ wiring, spray in bed liner, GTS headlight and taillight dark tinted covers. Airaid intake. Extang soft tonnue.
New exhaust to come, once I figure out what I want.
Thanks again for all the info so far.

Message: Forgot to mention...the dealer reset the pinion factor to adjust for the bigger tires. They just needed the rotations per mile for the tire which I got from Interco (tire manufacturer)

Message: Did you have to make those brackets to bring the nerf bars flush with your body, or were you able to special order them?

Message: Bryan,
The front brackets were easy. I simply lined everything up and drilled new holes on the brackets 2 3/8" lower. That's as far as I could go and keep enough metal around the outside. I then mounted the front bracket to the body mount mounting point, marked the frame, and drilled a new hole in the frame (2 3/8" higher). (The "special nuts" that come with the kit still work fine.)
The driverside front took a bit more time. I had to drill a hole for the e-brake cable to run thru the bracket. I picked 1 1/2" since it was low enough for the cable and also cut up past the original elongated hole. (Getting the e-brake cable off and back on was a bit tricky, I used a ratched strap to gain enough slack to pop the cable loose at the adjustment nut.)
The rear brackets took very little time really. I started with 2"x2"x3/8" angle iron. I cut one side down to 1" so the original bracket would mount up correctly. Then drilled two mounting holes 2 3/8" apart (after a bit of measuring) one for the original bracket to mount to, and one to use to mount it to the spring bolt (rear mounting point.) If I did it again I'd use 1/4" angle. I had to grind the plate to thin it so the bolt would be long enough.
I also had to elongate the mounting holes on the brackets so the bars would adjust in another 3/8" to account for the angle iron.
Hope this helps.
