not sure... i'd like to find out as well... i put shackles on my other truck, but it was an '87 ram 50 (compact) short bed/reg. cab with a 4-banger. they def. lifted it, and since they lift it from the back of the springs, it should help keep the driveline angles ok. but now i have an extended cab dakota with the V8, and i'm not sure whether to go with shackles again, or blocks. also, anyone know of a good way (either do it yourself or a kit i could buy) to get about 2-3" lift on it?? thanks!
