Subject: Dumbest wheel question ever asked
IP: Logged

Message:
Well I just got new wheels for my dak(97 4x4 CC) but I have one silly question. The wheels on it now are the plain, boring, 5 spoke ones. The new tires are still made by dodge, but they're the double five spoke. I love that look. The question is...

Will the lugs on my current wheels work on the new ones?

Thanks, and hope to have some pics of the new lift tuesday.

Sounds like you went from the factory 15"x7" mags to the 15"x8"s. If so those lug nuts will work fine; I swap back and forth with the seasons.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

I was under the impression that all Dakotas use the 6 on 4.5 bolt pattern...am I wrong?

The aftermarket sucks for new rims on these trucks...I had to go with AE589 rims that have a much lower backspacing than the stock rims...had to trim the hell out of my bumper valence to get them to quit rubbing. But I did manage to squeeze 31x10.5x15 Procomp X-Terrains on it...hehe.

Asta lasagna,

Kevin

I do the same as Kowalski, I run GEN II rims 15x7 I think it is, also GEN III 15x8 and 16x8, just depends on what tire I am needing to run on my 2000.
