Message: I own a 2000 durango 5.9l
3" body lift, and the torsions bars cranked.
Part 1:
Yesterday after towing my ~8,ooo pound boat the car isnt acting the same. Whenever I turn to the right at low speeds the front end dives down and the car slows down drasticaly. Left hand turns seem to be ok.
Part 2:
My t-case wont work. The floor shifter seems mushy trying to go into 4 low and wont engage, and feels like it hits a brick wall and wont go into 4-Hi. It wont pop into neutral either.
Any ideas? It looks like the top of my driverside front wheel bends in towards the car alot, as the tire seems to bend kinda funny to keep contact to the ground, but it may be the way its always been and I was just seeing things while looking at it. Or maybe becuase the road wasnt level, I dont know, im just throwing it out there...
Thinking about flatbedding it to the local shop.. but anyone have any ideas?

Message: The front end problem may be a control arm problem. I dont have a clue on your tranfer case problem.

Message: 1. Front end probably a broken upper control arm and/or ball joint. Although unlikely, could also be a broken spring, or a bent frame rail. Stop driving the truck, and check it out.
2. Broken motor, transfer case, or transmission mount would be my first guess.
