Subject: travel? IP: Logged
Message: Ok, i've got some ideas but I need some info. How much travel could you have before the outer shafts and/or u-joints would cause problems? Currently there is a bump stop to stop upward and downward travel. If this was removed how much farther could it go? What about if I had custom shafts made with different joints?

Message: I think your missing some info. but if you took the bump stops out you would get that much travel... the length of the bumpstop, then you would have metal to metal. My guess on the CV shafts would be, longer control arms, remove the torsion bars, some sort of coil over mounted to upper arms, beefed-up upper arms, long CV shafts with a stronger joint (they have some out that can operate at high angles, but are expensive), then you would need longer tie rods and such because the longer arms would swing wide and increase the front track width.
