Subject: Differential IP: Logged
Message: This is kind of a stupid question, but on my 99' Dakota 2wd, I was wondering what kind of differental I have, I think its a Dana 30 but Im not sure. Does anybody know?

Message: The Diff is the center part of your axle where the driveshaft goes into it and holds the ring and pinion gears. If yours is a 2wd you probably have the Dodge 8 1/4 rear end. If you have the towing package then you would have the 9 1/4 like the 4x4's have.
