Subject: HAWKEYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IP: Logged
Message: Hey hawkeye, I was reading one of your old posts and it said that you had a genuine steel grill guard from 4wheelparts.com at one time. I am thinking of getting one of them too and I was wondering how strong and durable it was. I figured that 300 bucks for a frame mount grill guard wasn't that bad, and you are the only person know that had one like this.
Now the main question I was wanting to know is I am wanting a body lift and grill guard and I was wondering how hard it would be to make some brackets for it to fit, and if you have any pics left of it could you shoot one or two my way. thanks.

Message: I dont think you will see Hawkeye around here anymore. He sold his Dakota for a Jeep a while back. He may check in but I have not seen him for a long time around.

Message: Hawkeye and I both scrapped the frame mounted grille guard for a prerunner bar once we put our bodylifts on. The brackets can be made, but would take some good fabrication.

Message: I have a full steel brush guard on my 88' 4x4 and dont worry they can through anything you want them too. I've hit signs,5 deer, a small flock of turkeys, trees, haywagons, a Blazer, and the other day i went through a barn wall. The grill is custom but its worth the time, and it looks cool too.
