Hey everyone, I have an Opportunity to get a used Milemarker 8000# electric winch for $300 or so. Does this sound like a good deal. Im having trouble finding specs on it but I believe that the smaller electric Milemarkers are permanent magnet motor driven instead of Series wound magnets. Ive heard the Series wound is the way to go as they stand up to the load better and last longer. True? Should I just wait awhile and pony up the extra for a Warn. I think 4wheelparts has a package special for a M8000 for $599. Thanks.

I know this thread is a bit old. But if you are still looking, 4 Wheel Parts Warehouse is selling a 9000# mile marker for only $500.
