Subject: to those that installed there power trax IP: Logged
Message: I have a power trax locker(lock rite). it has been making a metal to metal contact sound for some time, and comes disengaged and re-engaged violently on launches.
I emailed power trax and they advised that it was not normal and to take the unit out and inspect it. They did not say what to look for in this inspection.wtf even though I emailed them that question.
I didn't install it the first time so I was wondering what I would need to remove it or to atleast remove the rear diff cover for that type of inspection.
please advise. also I have read back posts but couldn't get much help from them. It does not appear I am the only one with this problem.

Message: Goodluck man. I saw a post on this once they didnt seem much help from that either. They told the guy to mail it back to them for inspection before they would replace it under warranty...well that kind of leaves your truck without a rear diff (undrivable) for a couple weeks. He just bought a new one from a different manufacturer. Hopefully you have better luck.
