Subject: 33x11.50's??????

Ok, so I want to run 33 inch tires without buying new rims. I have the 15x8 stock rims and would like to mount 33x12.50's but I've been told that an 8 inch rim is not recomended for that size. If you disagree let me know...anyways, I've looked around and have only found one brand of tire in 33x11.50's and those are the Thornbirds. I'm not too stoked on buying those from what I've read. Does anyone have some suggestions for other tire brands I may have overlooked? I'm looking for a good all terrain tire. I'm running BFG All Terrains right now and they're ok. I live in Utah and go to Moab a few times a year so I want an aggressive looking tire that will perform well on the trail but will run well on the street and snow since we get a ton of out here. As a sidenote I do plan on installing the PA 3inch body lift. But, if I can get away without it and run 33x11.50's in the meantime that'd be great...your thoughts on that?

Thanks guys...

jc

Ive heard that you can run 33x12.50s on 8in rims from several on here taht do.

Otherwise you could try BFG 33x10.50s.

JC,

I ran 33x12.5" tires on the factory 15x8" wheels without any problems. For a 12.5" tire, a 8-10" wheel is usually what's recommended. You shouldn't have any problems. The set of 33's I ran on the 15x8 rims lasted well beyond 50,000 miles. I don't think you'll have any problems.

Kory,
I'm looking for some 33x12.5 that will last good. What brand of tire was that, that lasted over 50,000 miles. Justin
