The Trailmaster kit is marketed for 91-96 Dakotas. It can be adapted to fit an older Dakota, but it does require changing out some of the front end or using non-standard parts. It also becomes quite expensive by the time your done. I installed it on my 88 with quite a bit of work. Click on one of the images below to go to my web-pages. Then select “Walt-n-Ingrid’s Dakota Page”. There you will find a link to “Dakota Tips and Modifications”. I have details about when I installed the Body and suspension lifts on my truck. You may find it informative.
