 Subject: liting a '00-'04 idea

I have an idea but don't know if it will work. What if us '00-'04 rack and pinion guys buy a lift for a '99 and install it and either fab up some brackets for the r&p or intall a steering gearbox? Will that work or is there other things that are differant. Does anybody know if the older lift bolts on to a newer dak? Please let my know cuz i dont want truckin suspension or whiplash and I want more than 3". Does anybody else have an idea? Thank you!!!

somewhere in this forum ive read that the 00 models have a drop down trans bracket too, so i imagine there are other differences beside the steering, but ive been wondering the same. check out this guys truck at www.magnumdakota.com, with a 3 inch body and 3 inch rancho lift the results look impressive.

hey all,
you have to be careful about the 03-04 Dak with the 16 inch rims. They are also a problem with the rancho lift. Somewhere on the sight there is a post dealing with it. Not with the rims, but with calipers and such.
