Subject: 15" rims on a 2003 IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2003 4x4 with 16x8 rims and the 265/70-16's tires. I just bought a set of AR baja rims (15x8) and I don't think they will fit. I tried to put the front right one on at 8:30 pm last night and it doesn't seem to go on all the way because of the brakes. I'm going to try again tomorrow after work when there is more day light, but I'm very confused on why they dont fit. AS far as I know Dakotas have been using 15x8 rims from 97 to 02. Do I need a wheel spacer or will 15" rims not work for a 2003.
any help will be useful.

Message: They brake calipers and rotors are larger on 2003 and up models. You need a 16 inch wheel to clear.
