Subject: What kind of frontend IP: Logged
Message: I'm new to the dak world, just wondering what type of front end a 2003 or 2004 had in it, ex. dana 44, corparte 10, dana 30, and so on... also is there anyone who makes gears for them.

Message: Well it doesnt have a solid-axle really like most older full-size trucks....it has an IFS (independent front suspension). Thats about all i know to tell you..maybe someone else can say more.

Message: They used to use a dana35 but the newer ones are made by chrysler something like a DC7.5 or something.

Message: It’s the other way around. 87-96 was Chrysler 7¼” differentials. The newer Dakotas 97+ have an IFS variation of the Dana 35.
