Message: Hi guys,
I read on a site hir in canada, that some guy where welding the rear differential on the truck to lock the rear axel,
is it ok when its done properly??
sorry for the speling, I am not to good in english.

Message: What you are talking about is nick-named a "Lincoln Locker".
It is not good if you are going to drive it on the street. It will put a lot of stress on the axle shafts and the ring & pinion when you turn. It will also cause premature wear on your tires. If you use it strictly off road, then you would be ok. Off road, the axle shaft that would normally differentiate on pavement will be allowed to slide easier over the loose terrain.
