 Subject: Proper way to ingage 4wd

I just got a used 99 dakota 4x4. Its the 5.2 v8. It didn't come with the owners manual so i was wondering how to shift it properly. I think From what i figured out is you put the shifter in nuetral then change it to 4wdl or 4wdh. then put the truck in drive is this right or am i wrong. thanks Lee

To go in to 4wd high you leave it in gear and shift while barely rolling. To get in or out of 4wd low you shift into nuetral.
