Message: Pls do not do a body lift, they are very dangerous since the bolts that hold the block can easily break detaching the body from the frame. Body lift is the wrong route to go. Instead wait and save cash for a suspension lift

Message: Body lifts are fine. Just don't go over 2 or 3 inches. If you use grade 8 bolts then you should have no fear. I am not a big fan of them but you will fine. The body lift shouldn't cost any more than $150. If you look around you might even find them for about $70. They are easy to install and usually only take less then a day. As for the suspension lift you would be looking at $1300 just for the lift and I wouldn't suggest putting that on yourself. So you would be looking at least $2k or better. Plus you will need new wheels with less backspacing.
Also, talk to Walt Felix. He is probably most knowledgable on this subject.
