 Subject: '97 dak front end popping again

lowered my truck w/2" coil springs, and replaced the upper & lower ball joints w/mooga & after 7mos the front end is popping again, they have been greased
has anyone had a similar problem & how did you fix it?

you said you lowered your truck right.
the problem might be that due to the shorter spring it changes the angle of the lower and upper control arm. and the ball joint can only pivot so far. and maybe the ball joint is pivoting past its travel and thus causing premature wear. i've had a similar problem with my truck but i cranked the torsion bars up and it caused the upper ball joints to wear out quickly because of the increased upper control arm angle.
