Having bought my truck private I have no dealer to ask
this.
How locked are the Diffs in 4hi and 4low?
If they are locked I presume it would be electronically of
course, how good would this be compared to mechanicaly
locked?

They are not locked from the factory. It may a rear limited slip from the factory though.
