Message: What do you guys like best for mainly street driving? I want some shocks that give a decent ride on road but give a good ride offroad? I was thinking between the fabtechs and the Rancho9000s but the Ranchos are a bit expensive. I know you guys are going to recommend them because of the adjustability, but I don't want to pay that much for shocks that will only see offroad once or twice a month. Anyway. Let me know oppinions on what shocks perform bests for my situation. Also, I just went to a shop to ask how much to install 1.5" (2" lift) coil spacers on my truck and add-a-leafs on the back. He said it would be about $250 labor and then parts. Does that sound expensive? He said it will probably take a couple hours on the front and back. $65/hour labor. Anyway. Let me know oppinions. Thanks everyone. I should be done with questions from now on.

Message: I have Rancho 5000's on my '01 QC 4x4. Definatly a stiffer ride than stock. But they greatly improve handling when the going gets rough, but don't bust a kidney on the fire roads. Truck doesn't wallow through the corners, either. The 9000's are probably better, but they are also much more expensive. I'm happy.
