Subject: exaust and tranny problem
IP: Logged

Message:
i have a 95 with the 318 and an auto trans. the factory "Y" pipe that runs from the manifolds to the catalytic converter runs underneath the corner of my transmission fluid pan. i am starting to have transmission problems and i believe its from the exaust heating the fluid in the pan, and heat is a very bad thing. has anybody out there run into this as well? i desperately need to relocate the exaust and i am wondering if a set of headers will do the trick. i just got he truck and the last thing i want to do is put $1500 in it to rebuild the tranny. im also thinking of installing a trans fluid cooler, so if anyone has any info on a good one please let me know. thanks in advance
